Job Description:
Bellhop is seeking a People Operations and Office Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by directly supporting our team members and ensuring our operations run smoothly. From handling HR administrative tasks to overseeing our office operations management, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive workplace environment where everyone can thrive. Please note this is a full-time hybrid role with the expectation of ~2-3 days in our Chattanooga, Tennessee office per week. Days of the week in the office are flexible and will fluctuate up and down week to week based on business needs. We are also willing to hire someone in Atlanta who is willing to commute to Chattanooga a couple of days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform various HR administrative tasks, including employee data entry in our HRIS (Rippling), I-9 verifications, employment verifications, completing wage notices, and other employment-related documents associated with onboarding, offboarding, and promotions
  • Review mail sent to our mail scanning service and direct mail needing attention to the appropriate team member(s) as needed
  • Ensure the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Coordinate and supervise any services that need to be performed to our office space (pest control, air conditioning maintenance and repairs, appliance maintenance, etc.)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our front-line workers, addressing HR, company policy, pay, or benefits questions and needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with the Head of People to support larger people operations projects, such as onboarding, training initiatives, and employee engagement programs
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication as needed
  • Support benefits programs administration in partnership with our benefits broker (Sequoia)
  • Help organize company events and activities to promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Other duties as needed to support the efficient functioning of the People team

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in HR administration or office coordination roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required
  • Impeccable attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite
  • Experience with HRIS systems, especially Rippling, highly preferred
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members across departments
