Supply Chain Planning Manager

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply planning process to ensure efficient inventory management, timely product availability, and alignment with demand forecasts. This role collaborates closely with procurement, Pharmacy Operations, and commercial teams to develop and execute supply plans that meet business objectives while minimizing costs and risks. Key responsibilities include analyzing demand trends, managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement in supply chain processes. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain management, and proficiency with ERP systems, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, collaborative, and possess proven analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities while also being able to manage multiple deliverables/projects concurrently.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and optimize cash with carrying costs and delivery costs
- Utilize forecasting outputs to optimize inventory levels, minimizing supply shortages while avoiding excess inventory costs.
- Assess current processes & systems, provide recommendations, and lead their implementation to drive continuous improvement in the agility of analysis to respond to changing events while measuring & exceeding KPI's.
- Implement inventory control techniques, such as safety stock calculations and reorder point strategies.
- Works cross-functionally with receivers and warehouse personnel to ensure inventory SOPs are being followed.
- Leads Inventory and product availability section of Supply Review in the S&OP process
- Works across teams to coordinate warehouse transfer and investigate all inventory variances. Identifies appropriate actions that will minimize/eliminate these variances.
- Support any technology-related projects to enhance supply and the larger planning process.
- Partner with Procurement to identify potential risks and opportunities to proactively address supply chain challenges.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and streamline workflows.

- Typing and computer usage throughout the day
- Strong Excel skills
- Travel less 10%
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain/Materials Management, Business Logistics or a related area of study
- 5+ years of experience supporting supply planning processes and highly effective purchasing strategies in a fast-paced environment. APICS/ASCM certification in planning / inventory management preferred
- Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including material planning, demand planning, and replenishment processes.
- Organizational skills: ability to evaluate data, prioritize, determine appropriate course of action, problem solve, escalate issues, and provide recommendations and solutions for positive/proactive changes.
- Ability to manage complexity, multi-task, and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
- Proven track record of people management, including experience managing nimble, distributed, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
