Mission of the Role:

The mission of the Manager, Quality is to develop, own and continuously improve Curology’s cross-functional quality management processes, ensuring that product, patient, and regulatory quality are embedded across the organization—particularly within Personalized Skin Solutions (PSS).

Reporting to the VP, Supply Chain, this role serves as the connective tissue across Pharmacy, Customer Success, Medical, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Innovation, translating signals from the business and patients into actionable quality insights, compliant processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part in protecting patient safety, product integrity, and regulatory readiness while enabling Curology’s pace of innovation.

Essential Functions and Impact Areas:

Cross-Functional Quality Ownership

  • Own and manage Curology’s end-to-end, cross-functional quality processes, ensuring consistent intake, assessment, escalation, and resolution of quality-related inputs across teams including Pharmacy, Customer Success, Medical, Supply Chain, Commercial, Product, and Operations.
  • Act as the central point of coordination for quality signals, ensuring clarity of ownership, timely follow-up, and closed-loop communication.
  • Establish clear quality workflows, SLAs, and governance to support rapid issue identification and resolution without compromising regulatory rigor.
  • Coordinates the organization's overall Quality Assurance (QA) program, including the gathering, analysis, and presentation of Performance Improvement (Pl) information. Performs ongoing, routine qualitative and quantitative analysis of this information, including (but not limited to):
    • Quality Related Event documentation
    • Complaint records
    • Employee training and competency records
    • Master formulation records and compounding records
    • Patient records
    • Reported employee and patient infections
    • Potential risks evident in the quality related event data gathering and analysis

Personalized Skin Solutions (PSS) Quality Leadership

  • Organize, maintain, and continuously improve quality activities specific to Personalized Skin Solutions (PSS) from a regulatory quality perspective.
  • Ensure PSS-related quality processes align with applicable FDA, pharmacy guidelines where applicable.
  • Works collaboratively with the Pharmacist in Charge, Director of Compounding Operations, Director of Fulfillment Operations, and compliance & legal team to ensure current understanding of all rules and regulations from applicable regulatory boards, committees, and agencies.
  • Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities or other external agencies. Support responses on inspection observations and other authority communications.
  • Partner closely with Medical, Pharmacy Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure formulation, compounding, labeling, packaging, and fulfillment quality considerations are proactively addressed.

Social Listening & Product Feedback Monitoring

  • Monitor and synthesize product-related quality signals from social listening channels, reviews, and other patient feedback sources.
  • Translate qualitative feedback into structured quality insights, trends, and risk assessments.
  • Partner with Medical, Innovation and Commercial teams to ensure emerging quality or safety signals are surfaced early and addressed appropriately.

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Own and enhance key Quality Management System (QMS) elements, including complaint handling, CAPAs, change management, and trend reporting.
  • Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that balance patient safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Keeps complete records of all tests performed to ensure compliance with established specifications and standards, including stability indicating studies for any extended beyond use dates.

Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

  • Serve as a trusted quality partner to cross-functional leaders, providing clear guidance, risk-based recommendations, and pragmatic solutions.
  • Prepare and present quality insights, trends, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of quality that aligns with Curology’s Operating Principles, particularly Protect Trust at Every Touchpoint and Trust but Verify.

Third-Party Manufacturer Quality Oversight

  • Lead quality assessments and audits of third-party manufacturers and pharmacy partners, including quarterly onsite visits as needed.
  • Establish Curology-owned quality expectations, review operating procedures, and ensure consistent execution across partners
  • Monitor quality and batch-to-batch reproducibility of production batches at third-party manufacturers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or healthcare-related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality, Regulatory Quality, or Quality Systems within a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, or healthcare).
  • Demonstrated experience owning or coordinating cross-functional quality processes.
  • Working knowledge of complaint handling, CAPA, and quality trend analysis.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory quality expectations and risk-based quality management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
  • Willingness to travel for onsite TPM visits, as needed.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience supporting personalized, compounded, or prescription-based products.
  • Familiarity with social listening tools or qualitative data analysis for product feedback.
  • Experience partnering with Customer Success, Medical, or Supply Chain teams.
  • Exposure to FDA, pharmacy, or combination product regulatory frameworks.

Location:

  • This role is expected to be onsite in Imperial, PA, with regular in-person collaboration across Pharmacy, Supply Chain, and Operations teams 5 days per week.

Compensation:

The estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $100,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and job-related expertise.
