About the Lead Product Manager, Provider Experience at Headspace:

Headspace exists to provide every person access to lifelong mental health support, and we’re accelerating our capabilities in order to deliver on that mission. We’re looking to hire a Lead Product Manager who will lead as an individual contributor in two capacities:

  1. Lead a skilled team of engineers and designers to refine and evolve our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This critical tool supports our coaches and therapists in delivering exceptional care through our innovative model.
  2. Drive a diverse cross-functional squad—comprising care leaders, user researchers, data scientists, analysts, and more—to deeply understand and improve the care providers' experience. This group will spearhead changes that result in an unparalleled experience for them.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Care Platforms, the Lead Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the vision and roadmap for our care experience. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact, driving advancements that contribute to our overarching mission.

What you will do:

  • Communicate and Champion the Product Vision: Clearly define the product vision for the provider experience squad. Develop and continually refine the roadmap to enhance provider experiences, developing "wow" moments through increased efficiency and reduced administrative tasks.
  • Lead Cross-functional Teams: Direct a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and data scientists. Your leadership will be pivotal in defining, designing, and launching new features that meet high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Actively participate in quarterly roadmap and business planning. Collaborate with key stakeholders within the broader team dedicated to serving our members and providers, ensuring alignment and integration of goals.
  • Drive Provider Experience Enhancements: Be the catalyst in the cross-functional squad focused on refining provider experiences. Innovate and iterate on measurable aspects of their experience, and lead efforts across teams to implement improvements.

What you will bring:

  • Proven Relevant Product Management Expertise: Bring at least 7 years of product management experience to the table, including a minimum of 3 years in a telemedicine context, working directly with providers and care leaders. Prior experience with EHRs is ideal.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Demonstrate outstanding written communication skills, essential for articulating vision, plans, and priorities effectively in a remote environment, as well as the ability to effectively lead groups in a remote environment.
  • Stakeholder Management Excellence: Demonstrate strong capabilities in empathetic listening, making strategic trade-offs, roadmap definition, and rallying stakeholders behind your plans, achieving business goals with limited resources.
  • Collaborative Design Partnership: Exhibit the ability to work closely with designers and other colleagues to craft superior internal-facing user experiences.
  • Organization Navigation: Have a history of successfully uniting multiple teams across complex organizations, identifying dependencies, and negotiating trade-offs to execute and launch projects.
  • Product Management Foundations: Excel in fundamental product management skills including prioritization, communication, time management, influencing without authority, and data-driven decision making.
  • Startup Agility: Demonstrate the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adapting quickly to changes while maintaining focus on key objectives.

Pay & Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills and scope required, relevant licensure and certifications, and unique relevant experience and job-related skills. The base salary range for this role is $131,414-$197,100.

At Headspace, cash salary is but one component of our Total Rewards package. We’re proud of our robust package inclusive of: base salary, stock awards, comprehensive healthcare coverage, monthly wellness stipend, retirement savings match, lifetime Headspace membership, unlimited, free mental health coaching, generous parental leave, and much more. Privacy Statement

All member records are protected according to our Privacy Policy. Further, while employees of Headspace (formerly Ginger) cannot access Headspace products/services, they will be offered benefits according to the company's benefit plan. To ensure we are adhering to best practice and ethical guidelines in the field of mental health, we take care to avoid dual relationships. A dual relationship occurs when a mental health care provider has a second, significantly different relationship with their client in addition to the traditional client-therapist relationship—including, for example, a managerial relationship.

As such, Headspace requests that individuals who have received coaching or clinical services at Headspace wait until their care with Headspace is complete before applying for a position. If someone with a Headspace account is hired for a position, please note their account will be deactivated and they will not be able to use Headspace services for the duration of their employment.

Further, if Headspace cannot find a role that fails to resolve an ethical issue associated with a dual relationship, Headspace may need to take steps to ensure ethical obligations are being adhered to, including a delayed start date or a potential leave of absence. Such steps would be taken to protect both the former member, as well as any relevant individuals from their care team, from impairment, risk of exploitation, or harm.
