About Morning Consult Intelligence
Morning Consult Intelligence (MCI) delivers always-on, high-frequency survey data and advanced analytics that empower decision-makers with forward-looking insights on consumers, brands, politics, and global trends. Our proprietary platform provides real-time intelligence that enables institutional clients to anticipate change, identify opportunity, and manage risk with confidence.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Account Executive to help us grow our presence in the investment strategy space.
Over the past decade, Morning Consult has built one of the largest proprietary datasets on global consumer sentiment. While we’ve historically focused on corporate use cases, we’re now bringing that data to investors—helping them turn public opinion into sharper research and better investment decisions.
This role is a chance to help build something new, but you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll work closely with leadership and cross-functional partners to identify opportunities, engage prospective clients, and shape how Morning Consult shows up in the investment ecosystem.
If you’re excited by financial markets, curious about data, and motivated by building something from the ground up, this role offers a lot of ownership and room to grow. What You’ll Be Working On
Own the full sales cycle—from first outreach through close—within the investment strategy vertical
Support pipeline development across buy-side and sell-side firms in partnership with team leadership
Build relationships with CIOs, Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Strategists, and Data leaders
Consistently work toward and achieve ARR targets
Work with clients to identify where our data fits into their investment process, including:
Consumer demand as a leading indicator
Brand strength and pricing power
Sector and thematic trend validation
Macro sentiment tracking
Political and regulatory risk
Translate Morning Consult data into clear, actionable insights for investment audiences—articulating value before buyers know they need it
Help clients understand the value of our data relative to other research and alternative data sources
Establish Morning Consult as a credible, differentiated partner in the investment space and position our data as a complement to fundamental and quantitative strategies
Share market feedback to help refine our product and go-to-market approach
Partner closely with Strategy, Research, Product, and Customer Success to deliver strong client outcomes
Contribute to messaging, case studies, and sales materials for the financial services vertical
About You and What You’ve Done
3+ years of experience in sales or a client-facing role (SaaS, data, finance, consulting, or similar environments)
You have a background at a company whose core product is data or intelligence —you understand what it means to sell an insight-driven product and create demand where none previously existed
You’re comfortable carrying or working toward a revenue target
Having familiarity with buy-side and/or sell-side firms is a plus, but not required
You have a solid understanding of how alternative data informs investment research and portfolio strategy
You’re comfortable engaging in conversations around macro trends, sectors, and business dynamics
You have high data literacy and an ability to communicate methodology and insights credibly
You’re curious, proactive, and motivated to learn in a new space
You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping shape a growing business
You bring a thoughtful, consultative approach to problem-solving and client conversations
You have strong communication skills and can build trust with a range of stakeholders
You take ownership of your work and follow through
What Success Looks Like
Establish Morning Consult Intelligence as a recognized provider within the investment strategy community
Build and grow a durable book of business across institutional investment clients
Develop repeatable, investment-focused use cases and commercial narratives
Drive meaningful ARR growth within the financial services vertical
