About the role 🖥️
At Vestiaire Collective, we’re reinventing the fashion industry by giving luxury items a second life and empowering a circular economy. As the world’s leading global marketplace for pre-owned luxury fashion, we connect millions of buyers and sellers across the globe. We’re looking for a meticulous and data-driven Reconciliation Analyst to join our Finance & Operations team. In this role, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our transaction flows, supporting financial reconciliation between buyers, sellers, payment providers, and internal systems. Your expertise in Advanced Excel and SQL will be key in driving accurate reporting, automation, and operational excellence.

What you will do 👜

  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of marketplace transactions, including buyer payments, seller payouts, commissions, refunds, chargebacks and payment fees.
  • Reconcile internal data with third-party payment processors (e.g., Adyen, PayPal), financial partners, and banking systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across platforms to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain reconciliation models using advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, Power Query, macros).
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to pull and cross-check data from multiple systems (e.g., ERP, order management, payment platforms).
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tech, and Operations to streamline processes and reduce manual touchpoints.
  • Support monthly close processes and financial audits by delivering timely, accurate reconciliation reports.
  • Contribute to process automation and systems improvements to scale reconciliation as the business grows.

Who you are ⭐

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in reconciliation, financial operations, or data analysis—ideally in a fast-paced, high-volume marketplace or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros/VBA).
  • Solid working knowledge of SQL and ability to handle large data sets and write complex queries.
  • Deep understanding of transactional flows in multi-party environments (e.g., marketplaces or platforms handling buyer-seller payments).
  • High attention to detail and a structured, problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and payment platforms (e.g., Adyen, Braintree, …).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Passion for sustainable fashion and the circular economy.
